National Palace Museum
This morning we went to National Palace Museum. Hemanth imagined that museum to be quite big and one full day will be insufficient to watch the exhibits. On contrary to our assumptions we couldn't find the interesting exhibits which we imagined in comparison with some museums in India. We were completely disappointed especially because we couldn't find any exhibits related to Jewelry such as diamonds, gold, silver or Platinum and even we couldn't find weapons like guns etc.... But we enjoyed the designs on porcelain and Jade. Overall it was a pleasant experience. We understand the differences between Chinese civilization(Mongolian Civilization) and Indus-valley Civilization or Indian Civilization. There are some sections related to printing and calligraphy. We couldn't follow them because most of them were in Chinese. We really got mesmerized by the way our ancestors prepared maps and created borders with precise latitude and longitude measurements. I couldn't find any good collection of music instruments. I really don't understand why?
After successfully completing our tour of museum we went to Shin-lin Night Market. We ate Indian food over there. Then my friends spent some time in Gaming. I saw many young students spending their vacation in gaming and wasting their money and valuable time just by getting addicted to such games rather appreciating the nature around them.
Front view of Museum spoiled by me

One day Trip to Hakkanese Tribal Village
This morning I went to hakkanese tribal village nin Miaoli county. I haven't seen much in this trip but it made me move away from campus. A sort of relaxation from academics. I ate hakka type special noodles. They are very similar to normal noodles I eat. I couldn't find any difference except for the taste. In this trip I saw Taiwanese students getting excited when they see small canals and minor reservoirs. Then I came to know that they have only limited water reserves. I discussed with Gary about the relations between Taiwan and Mainland China. He is very optimistic about the moves taken by the president Ma despite of severe criticism from many people in the country. His point is to establish peaceful relationship with neighboring nations wether it is China or any other. I felt ok with his explanation but not totally convinced.
