Yilan Sand Festival

I went to watch sand sculptures on the white sand beach of Yilan with our lab mates. It was very refreshing trip for me. I could take a day off during the week. The sand sculptures are very beautiful. I enjoyed cold ocean water on a hot summer afternoon. The beach is flat and I could go 100 mts inside the water by walking and waves are very friendly. So I could play in the water easily. :) Here are some pictures of the sculptures taken in the trip.

CKS Memorial Hall

We went to watch CKS memorial hall in Taipei for few hours during our trip to Yilan. It is very beautiful building. You can have a glimpse of the venue through these pictures.

The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a famous monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China.

Dil Aakhir Tu Kyu Rota Hai/Crying Heart

“When clouds of pain loom in the sky
When a shadow of sadness flickers by
When a tear finds its way to the eye
When fear keeps the loneliness alive
I try and console my heart
Why is it that you cry? I ask

This is only what life imparts
These deep silences within
Have been handed out to all by time
Everyone’s story has a little sorrow
Everyone’s share has a little sunshine

No need for water in your eyes
Every moment can be a new life
Why do you let them pass you by?
Oh heart, why is it that you cry?”
